I just took delivery of a Jayco Eagle fifth wheel in the spring. I also experienced the same thing with my windows. I actually had the channel fill up and overflow with rain water through the weep holes in a very strong wind. A poor design in my opinion.

As with anything new, I recently had some issues with my new Jayco Eagle 345 bhs. After dropping it at my dealer for service I had several questions and contacted Jayco directly. Within an hour I had an email to me with answers to my questions. I replied to that email with additional questions, and when I logged on to my computer tonight, I again saw they responded to my email in a more than timely manor. I can not say how glad I am to know there are still some people out there who ultimately care about their customers. This just confirms that I made the right decision on purchasing a Jayco.

I spent two years looking at fifth wheels. Looked heavily at Holiday Rambler, Montana, and Jayco. You will find people have had issues with all. At the end of the day I went with Jayco Eagle. Met with Jayco factory reps at a show and they were very helpful. Quality wise (construction, fit and finish) it's hard to beat Jayco, not to mention the two year warranty.

It's leaking when using the shower. I checked the plumbing and it appears to be ok. I ran the shower and went into the basement area and found water running down the wall into the basement. I the had my wife direct the shower to different areas and found that it leaked mostly when directed over the rivets. I placed tape over the rivets just so we could continue to use the shower, however I still was getting some water through the other area I spoke about.

Jayco Eagle question
I took delivery of a 2008 Jayco Eagle 345 BHS in April. Since we've had it we've been on a couple of weekend trips, but recently went away for a 2 week vacation. While we were out I noticed my shower was leaking into the basement area soaking the carpet near the driver side compartment door. I caulked the shower base surround, and am still having problems with water leaking around the rivets that Jayco uses to fasten the shower wallboard in place. It also appears to be leaking around the stationary glass panel near the sink. Has anyone else had this problem? My fifth wheel is currently at the dealer for repair.

foot long one by two, to trigger the small lever.

for someone who sticks their hand/fingers in there and has the
bear trap close on them.
If they refuse . . . how about YOU?

I just took delivery of an Eagle 345 bhs. I found out after researching that Jayco used to offer shocks as an option. They still have the brackets for the shocks on their frames, however, if you opt for the shocks it's a dealer furnished item. I opted to have my dealer to put them on prior to delivery. Just be careful, because dealer pricing is all over the place. My dealer put them on for under $100, another dealer I was negotiating with wanted over $350.

I just moved up to a Jayco Eagle fifth wheel. It all boils down to what floor plan you like and what will work best for you. I looked at the Eagle Lites and the Eagles. The Jayco Eagle has a few more bells and whistles, but both are quality units. I know after speaking with a rep a Jayco directly, the Eagle Lites have a lower profile, no bedroom slide in the front and can be pulled by 1/2 ton trucks.

I had a Sunline 267SR that was 28'. We really liked the floorplan, however, we started running out of space on extended trips with everything we brought. The one thing I used to experience was sway whenever tractor trailers would pass me, or even worse were box trucks. With the fifth wheel I was maintaining 55 mph and I had trucks, box trucks, ect pass me with no effect. It was like night and day. Ofcourse this was only one time that I towed with it, so time will tell.

Eagle 345 arrived!
Well after 2 years of anticipation, my Jayco Eagle 345 BHS has finally arrived! I picked it up Sunday and I can not begin to explain the difference in towing from a TT. I have been following posts on fifth wheels, have gone to countless shows, and visited various dealers. After getting my feet wet and towing it home, I can say it's actually enjoyable to tow. Now all that's left is to start planning trips. Thanks for all the advise during my search, it was well worth the wait!

Advice on bed covers
I recently just took delivery on my GMC Sierra 3500 DRW. I 'd like to order a bed cover, but not sure which way to go. I looked at the Pace Edwards Jack Rabbit Full Metal, and an Access Roll-Up Cover. I like the Jack Rabbit Full Metal, because of the security and ease of operation. It also is very clean looking. The Access Roll up also seems easy to operate and is clean, however is about $1000.00 less. Anyone with any experience with either is appreciated.

We were in Ocean Waves last August. Some nights were bad and some nights were ok. Overall I wouldn't say it was unbearable, as we are planning another trip for this summer.

I posted a similar thread to yours in May when I was deciding on a tow vehicle. One of the best replies I got that put things into perspective for me was to go with the 3500 DRW. The reply stated it may not have been the truck that I originally wanted, but it was the truck that I needed. Although putting it in your garage would be nice, get the truck that will do what you need it to do.
